How To Make Windows Report To A Syslog Server

For years I've had my windows server report to a syslog server, rather than logging in to them to check events.

Currently I'm using Syslog-NG with PHP-Syslog-NG as my syslog server. But if you don't want to muck around with Linux, you could use the excellent (and free of charge for a limited version) Kiwi Syslog Daemon.

To get your servers to report all events to the syslog server, you can use the event to syslog service, which was developed by Perdue University's Curtis Smith. Who has allowed this to be used at no charge.
