Ubuntu OpenGL Desktop

Let's face it, looks matter. And I just installed Compiz OpenGL Desktop on my Ubuntu, and it looks way better.

I know that Beryl is the end all and be all of Linux desktop sexiness.

but even without Beryl, I'm pretty jazzed about Compiz OpenGL Desktop.

it gives you such cool things as the wobble windows, that deform when moved:


and the cube effect for when you switch workspaces:

That's pretty hot, and very simple. It gives you all sorts of other fancy stuff, but you get the idea. Now I need to go figure out how to get Beryl running correctly. When I tried last night I lost all my tile bars on my windows. I guess I might actually need to read some documentation...
